BTES awards recognize excellence in building technology teaching and research. BTES advertises the awards and accepts nominations annually or biennially per the award criteria.

Edward Allen Student Award- The Edward Allen Student Award is the highest honor given by the Building Technology Educators’ Society recognizing students–who over their academic career–have demonstrated commitment, passion, curiosity, and excellence in the integration of building technology and architectural design.

Emerging Faculty Award- The EFA recognizes building technology educators who are early in their teaching career and display excellence and innovation in their teaching performance, methods, and subject matter.

BTES Book Award- The BTES Book Award recognizes an outstanding new book that significantly contributes to building technology education in architecture.

Student Award- The Student Award recognizes exceptional student design and scholarship focused on building technology. Two awards are granted (for a paper and for a design portfolio) providing two students with financial support for participation in the BTES conference.
