2026 BTES Board of Directors Call for Nominations
Deadline: November 14, 2025
We invite you to nominate yourself or a colleague for the following positions:
President-Elect | 2-year voting position, 3-year term. Serves from January 1, 2026, as president-elect; January 1, 2027, as president; and January 1, 2028, as an advising past-president.
Two Board Members | 2-year voting position. Serves from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026
Secretary | 2-year voting position. Serves from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026
The BTES is an active group with several nascent initiatives. We are seeking people who are enthusiastic about building technology and education and dedicated to supporting the BTES community through creating opportunities for professional development, mentorship and networking, acknowledging exemplary teaching and research, and stewarding the organizations’ existing activities.
Membership on the BTES Board is an excellent opportunity to get to know colleagues at other institutions. Being a Board Member or Officer requires attending monthly online board meetings. Board Members are encouraged to attend the biennial BTES Conference (scheduled for Summer 2027) and the conference fee will be waived. All members of the BTES will contribute to an aspect of the organization, such as student or faculty awards, liaise with AIA, ACSA, and other professional organizations, participate in research focus groups, coordinate programming or new membership-facing initiatives.

Each person running is asked to provide a photograph of themselves (square image, 200dpi, grayscale .jpg), a 2-page CV (.pdf), and a brief paragraph (250 words max.) describing their goals for the organization. Please submit your nomination files and text in the online submission form.
