The Building Technology Educators’ Society is pleased to announce that the 2027 BTES Conference will take place May 24–27, 2027 in Fargo, North Dakota, hosted by North Dakota State University.
The conference will explore Tectonics and Stereotomy—revisiting foundational questions of how buildings are made, from assembly and joinery to mass and material expression. Drawing from Semper’s framework, the conference invites reflections on how contemporary tools, fabrication methods, and cultural practices are reshaping relationships between craft, technology, and form.
Abstract submissions will be due in early Fall 2026.
